Piaggio Aero at NBAA 2006

Piaggio Aero will display its P180 Avanti II at the National Business Aviation Association Conference (NBAA) that is going to take place in Orlando on October 17-19.(booth 276 and static display 10).
The NBAA is one of the world’s most important trade events in the field of business and general aviation and Piaggio Aero will attend the show, once again, with a major presence.
The Piaggio Aero booth (1644) will be marked by a display of a 1:1 scale mock-up of the Avanti II that will present to visitors the spacious cabin with comfortable seats,fine appointments, ample baggage compartment and new digital cockpit.

At the static area will be displayed the Avanti II features a fully integrated new Pro Line 21 avionics system with three 10” x 8” liquid crystal adaptive flight displays, and FMS 3000 flight management system and the AHS 3000 attitude heading reference system.

The Italian-designed and built aircraft is the fastest and most advanced turboprop in the world, with a range of over 1,700 miles at a speed of 398 kts (450mph) and a maximum cruising altitude of 41,000 ft. Its overall performance is similar to that of a jet but with 30 percent less fuel and operating costs. Moreover with a cabin height of 69” and width of 73”, the P.180 offers passengers a level of comfort matching that of much bigger and more costly aircraft. The P.180 is licensed to operate with a single pilot and can carry up to nine passengers.

One hundred of Piaggio Aero’s flagship product, the Avanti, have already been delivered, with more than100 aircraft on order for the new version Avanti II, with a backlog worth 640 million US$.
