Piaggio Aero at NBAA 2008
The NBAA is one of the world’s most important trade events in the field of business and general aviation and Piaggio Aero will attend the show, once again, with a major presence. The Piaggio Aero booth (299) will be marked by a display of a 1:1 scale mock-up of the Avanti II that will present to visitors the spacious cabin with comfortable seats, fine appointments, ample baggage compartment and new digital cockpit.
At the static area will be displayed the Avanti II with the upgraded Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6-66B engines. The world’s fastest turboprop flies at a maximum cruise speed of 402 kts and the P.180 is the first business turboprop to reach this significant speed milestone. The aircraft features a fully integrated new Pro Line 21 avionics system with three 10” x 8” liquid crystal adaptive flight displays, and FMS 3000 flight management system and the AHS 3000 attitude heading reference system.
Piaggio Aero’s show announcements will be released during the press briefing that will took place at 9:00 am on Sunday, October 5. It will be held in NBAA’s Room 2, which is room N220C in the Convention Center.
