Piaggio Aero make its debut at Concorso Italiano this year

Premium Italian Business Aviation Brand Celebrates 24th Annual Event on the Monterey Peninsula.

Piaggio Aero, in connection with Concorso Italiano and Avantair, will for the first-time exhibit at Concorso Italiano, celebrating Italian style, culture and design August 14 at the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch.

Cruising at speeds more than 400 knots, the Avanti II travels quicker and quieter than most light class aircraft yet has a fraction of the fuel consumption. Requiring approximately 33 percent less fuel than most business jets and nearly 25 percent less than most efficient twin turboprops, the aircraft is the most environmentally friendly in its class.

A scaled-down one-eighth model of the world’s fastest turboprop aircraft, the Piaggio Aero P. 180 Avanti II, will be displayed at Concorso Italiano illustrating an example of true Italian design. Its “future-looking” lines paired with its efficient twin turboprops equip the Avanti II with the speed of most light cabin jets, while offering the cabin cross section of a super mid-size aircraft.

“In keeping with our Italian roots, Piaggio Aero feels energized with pride to participate in such an iconic international event,” said Piaggio America – Executive Vice President, John Bingham. “We look forward to building our American presence with such a rich-heritaged Italian celebration.”

On-site will be, Avantair, the sole North American provider of fractional shares and flight hour time cards in
the Piaggio Aero P.180 Avanti II aircraft.
