Piaggio Aero will display its P180 Avanti II business /multiutility  aircraft at the Dubai Airshow 2009, the 11th show in the series taking place from 15th to 19th November at Dubai International airport.


The Dubai Air Show has become one of the most important events in the business aviation calendar. The Middle East has the largest growth rate in aircraft acquisition in the world, which makes DAS even more important to business aircraft manufacturers. The Dubai Airshow is organised by F&E Aerospace, in conjunction with Dubai Airports, the Government of Dubai and in collaboration with the UAE Armed Forces.


Piaggio Aero will display its  P.180 Avanti II aircraft at the static display P4 proudly attending the show as affiliate company of Mubadala  Development, the  strategic financial  company fully owned by the Abu Dhabi government, co-primary shareholder of Piaggio Aero together With Tata Limited and the Ferrari and Di Mase families.


The Avanti II achieves Jet performance and is able to reach a certified altitude of 41,000ft and a maximum speed of 402 knots (at 31,000ft). While in flight the spacious cabin sets new standards in comfort, smoothness and extremely low ambient internal cabin noise levels. The cabin provides seating, in a luxury environment, seven plus passengers to travel in unprecedented first class comfort. The first class fully stand-up cabin is six feet wide and five feet nine inches high which is wider and taller than most of the competing business aircraft.
