Piaggio Aerospace to deliver VIP Avanti EVO to Malaysia’s Kris Sakti Holdings

Piaggio Aerospace today announced that it will deliver a new, VIP configured Avanti EVO aircraft to Malaysian company Kris Sakti Holdings.

The aircraft, which will be delivered in the first half of 2016, will include the most advanced Avanti EVO avionic package. The agreement foresees also the supply to Kris Sakti Holdings of customised after-sales services, such as training, spare parts and a dedicated field representative.

The contract was signed in Kuala Lumpur by Mahmud Abu Bekir, Group Chairman of Kris Sakti Holdings, and Francescomaria Tuccillo, Senior Vice President, Governmental Sales and Institutional Relations on behalf of Piaggio Aerospace.

Avanti EVO combines Italian style and ground-breaking aviation technology. Thanks to its extended range, superior climb performance, class-leading fuel economy and spacious cabin, Avanti EVO is one of the most sophisticated aircraft in its market segment, able to combine high efficiency, reduced operating cost, environmental friendliness and greater level of comfort for passengers.

Mahmud Abu Bekir, Group Chairman of Kris Sakti Holdings, commented: "We believe there is significant potential in Malaysia for Avanti EVO, which is an impressive corporate aircraft able to travel almost everywhere in our country and connect us with the main Asian capital cities".

Carlo Logli, Chief Executive Officer of Piaggio Aerospace added: "We are delighted to add Kris Sakti Holdings to our portfolio of global clients. With Avanti EVO contracts in the US, Europe and India, we are seeing significant global demand for our next generation executive aircraft. In order to benefit in particular from the promising business opportunities offered by the Far Eastern markets, we have now the intention to strengthen our customer support and services capabilities in this part of the world".
