Piaggio Aerospace Builds Momentum in Global Business Aviation at NBAA-BACE

The P.180 Avanti attracted strong interest from visitors and business aviation stakeholders at this year’s NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), where Piaggio Aerospace showcased the Avanti EVO and its distinctive combination of performance, efficiency, and cabin comfort.

The company returned to NBAA-BACE after a strong year for the P.180, marked by solid sales and continued efforts to expand its position in the international business aviation market. Under its new ownership, the company continues to strengthen its operations, invest in customer support, and build the foundations for the P.180’s Next phase of growth.

Piaggio Aerospace CEO Cristian Toninelli shared an update at this year’s conference on the company’s current business activities and operations.

‘’Looking back on the first year under Baykar’s ownership, we have seen renewed interest in the P.180, with new sales opportunities and growing engagement from customers and operators. We are focused on building on this momentum, strengthening our operations and customer support, and continuing to grow P.180 sales in international markets.’’

Inside, the P.180 offers an environment designed around passenger comfort, with a spacious cabin, a versatile layout suited to executive travel and family trips, and a fully enclosed toilet for added privacy and convenience. Piaggio Aerospace representatives are using the EVO at NBAA-BACE to demonstrate these characteristics directly to prospective customers.

‘’The P.180 has qualities that you simply cannot fully communicate in a brochure or a presentation,’’ Cristian Toninelli continued. ‘’That is why we are inviting people to come on board, take a seat and experience the aircraft for themselves. Once you are inside, the cabin height and the feeling of space tell the story better than we ever could.’’

Avanti NX

The Avanti NX represents the latest evolution of the Avanti series, building on the iconic P.180 design while introducing significant enhancements across the aircraft. The NX features major upgrades to the flight deck and onboard systems, alongside an all-new interior and connectivity features. Looking ahead, Piaggio Aerospace plans to gradually increase production of the P.180 in the coming years, targeting up to 30 aircraft per year over the next decade as it continues to expand the Avanti’s presence in the global business aviation sector.
